Sarah and Cody’s Henniker winter engagement photos are a true reflection of the two of them. Casual, woodsy, and SO happy! They included their two adorable dogs, Lilly and Finn. Finn was just a few weeks old for their engagement photos, so enjoy all the puppy! Finn is now over 100 pounds and bigger than his sister, Lilly!
Sarah and Cody have known each other basically their entire lives. Sarah and Cody met in 8th grade in Henniker. They have been best friends since they were 13 years old! Yes, they did try dating early on but it wasn’t until they senior year of high school that they their friendship morphed into something more serious. The timing may have been slightly off since Sarah was leaving for college in Florida and Cody planned on staying in New Hampshire. Cody quickly decided he couldn’t let Sarah go, so he made the move with her.
Look at this little nugget! Sarah and Cody are HUGE sports fan, which Cody’s hat in these photos are a huge giveaway. They are frequently in Boston cheering on the Red Sox and the Bruins. When they aren’t catching a game, they love to travel to new cities and consider themselves “foodies”. It was during one of their planned trips that Cody proposed to Sarah. Having never been to Portland, Maine, they planned a weekend away to explore this new-to-them city and to celebrate Sarah’s birthday. Cody knew of Sarah’s love of lighthouses and while visiting Portland Headlight in Fort Williams Park, Cody proposed while they were standing on a cliff overlooking the ocean and the lighthouse.
Sarah and I have become very close over the past two years. It was so fun to plan their Henniker winter engagement photos!
Sarah and Cody have such a playful and fun relationship. It is so obvious when you see them together that they truly are each other’s best friend and love each other so much.
These two are also so adventurous and went along with my crazy ideas for their engagement photos. We hiked into this partially frozen creek in Henniker. They did not hesitate for one second and instantly started hiking through the snow and rocks.
It was so worth the hike! Look at how gorgeous these two are in this location! We finished their Henniker winter engagement photos on the lake by their house. They have spent hours on this lake, whether it was for ice fishing in the winter or paddle boarding in the summer months. It was the perfect spot to catch the cloudy sunset.
