Exploring Mackworth Island with Melissa and Mike for their engagement photos last fall was incredible. Mackworth Island not only offers an amazing view of Portland and Casco Bay but it also has beautiful trails which resulted in seeing colorful fall foliage. Their Mackworth engagement session was relaxed and beautiful. Melissa and Mike have a genuine relationship. You can visibly see how much these two care about each other.
The fall colors on this island were fantastic!
The sweet gestures that Melissa and Mike had during this engagement session were so sweet. Melissa and Mike were constantly expressing their love for each other during their photos.
Melissa and Mike’s love story started when they were in college. They were on a double blind date except not with each other. Melissa’s best friend was on the date with Mike and Mike’s best friend was on the date with Melissa. Needless to say it didn’t work out the way it was originally planned. Melissa and Mike hit it off instantly and their relationship did nothing but grow over the years they have spent together.
Mike proposed to Melissa during her surprise college graduation party. He started his speech with how proud he was of her completing her master’s degree and then proceed to ask her to marry him.
Mackworth Island was the perfect location for Melissa and Mike! The relaxed setting allowed for their true personalities to come out. It was great! The beach was also perfect and the colors were spot on. Their Mackworth Island engagement photos are some of my favorite fall beach engagement photos!
As a result of the low tide and stunning sunset, we were able to take stunning sunset photos! While the sunset and beach are enough to make me super happy the landscape of this beach was incredible. The washed up trees and debris made for an even more interesting and beautiful landscape.
In conclusion, Melissa and Mike’s Mackworth Island engagement photos were genuine and romantic. They are not only each other’s other half, they are truly each other’s best friend.
