This Seacoast Science Center Wedding was nothing short of incredible! It was an amazing collaboration of elegant and timeless decor with a touch of nautical elements. Resulting in an elegant and classy seaside wedding!
Allie and Dave met in 2010 through mutual friends. It wasn’t until Dave took over fur-baby parenting for his sister’s cat, Jake, that Allie stepped into the picture in a more of a friend role. See, Dave had no idea how to care for a cat so he took this opportunity to get Allie to spend time with him and teach him how to care for this new responsibility he had taken on. Despite Allie trying to set Dave up with her friend, they bonded over Jake and 90’s tv shows. Oh and yes, they do still have Mr. Jake, he’s a pretty awesome cat, I have had the please of meeting the fur-baby that brought these two together!
While Allie was getting ready with her bridesmaids, I took full of advantage to snag a few shots of her family’s adorable dogs.
Allie and Dave enjoy spending time camping, fishing, biking, and adventuring with their very large and adorable white german shepherd, Thor. Every year, these two spend time on Hermit Island in Maine where Dave proposed to Allie. I had the pleasure of joining them last fall on one of these camping trips on the island for heir engagement session.
Allie and Dave both knew that their wedding would be centered around having their closest family and friends with them. Not being from New Hampshire, they also wanted to include the New England experience. This include a lobster bake for their dinner guests to enjoy and ocean front views. Therefore their wedding was exactly what they both wanted. They couldn’t have gotten closer to the water at Odiorne Point unless they had been in it!
While Allie and her girls were getting ready in a beach house in Rye, Dave and his guys were getting ready in downtown Portsmouth.
What a sweet first look! Tears and huge smiles from these two.
Allie and Dave knew that their Seacoast Science Center wedding would include all of the elements that are important to both of them. These elements included classy and elegant decor, ocean views, and providing the New England experience for their guests.
When I met Allie and Dave, it was apparent that they shared a special kind of love. The way Allie’s face light up the first time she told me about their love story you could tell this girl was head over heels. The love they share is a love that you can tell is completely unconditional.
As I got closer to Allie during their engagement, it was evident that the love these two share is so incredibly strong that it is truly admirable. From all of life’s challenges and ups and downs, these two haven’t let it bring them down. It has done quite the opposite. They have conquered life’s challenges and it has made their relationship and love stronger. During their ceremony they read each other very hand written, personal, and adorable vows. There was humor, like Allie promising to make Dave the best ham and pickle sandwiches, to the sentimental vows to stay true to each other and continue to love each other every day.
Allie could not have had a better group of girls with her on her wedding day! Each one of these girls were supportive and amazing friends for Allie! Also, look how gorgeous they each are!
Shooting at Odiorne Point was a dream! Allie and Dave also totally rocked every single photo!
While guests were enjoying cocktail hour we stole some time with just Allie and Dave to get very dreamy and elegant photos of the two of them.
We had a very small window of time for sunset photos between events at the reception. Thankfully, we took full advantage of the sunset while guests were enjoying more cocktails and food. The sunset at Odiorne Point did not disappoint! As a result of the many times I have shot in Rye during sunset, I have decided that the sunsets there are my absolute favorite. The colors are always amazing. We shot Allie and Dave in one direction and were able to turn them and get a completely different color scheme in the sky. Swoon, talk about amazing! It was incredible to see how opposite the skies were.
I absolutely loved their cake topper…come on SO cute! They included their whole little family!
Wowzers, their reception was awesome! The live band kept everyone dancing all night!
While Allie and Dave were dancing their friends rallies around and bam these two were up in the air! It is safe to say, they were not expecting this to happen!
The guests at this Seacoast Science Center wedding were wild! The dance floor was packed!
In conclusion, Allie and Dave truly had an amazing seacoast wedding. Congratulations you two! I cannot wait to see the journey you two will take together!
