To even have the words to gather for this Presque Isle wedding was hard for me. Basically, I needed a box of tissues the second I downloaded all of the images and started to sort through them. The reason this blog post is difficult is because I feel as if I have no words to really tell you how special this couple is and how special this bride is.
When Lorraine and her family moved to Presque Isle in elementary school, Lorraine and I became friends and have had a friendship for the past 15 years. I witnessed Lorraine and Mitch’s relationship begin, grow, and flourish into a forever kind of love. Therefore, I watched her admiration and love grow for Mitch as the years went on. Then, witnessed them succeed through a long distance relationship while they were in college and then share the joy they had when they got engaged, got a puppy, and moved in together. Through of all life’s journeys Lorraine has been a true best friend and my heart is so incredibly happy for her. Her wedding day was exactly how she dreamt it would be.
Lorraine and Mitch are both very family orientated. Due to this Lorraine included her family even more into her day, she wore family heirlooms that added an elegant and timeless touch. Lorraine’s eye for detail is impeccable. It came to no surprise that she would have the prettiest details at her wedding.
After many years of knowing that Mitch was Lorraine’s forever, I don’t think anyone could have dreamed up a more perfect guy for her. He’s caring, kind, funny, and most importantly puts her first. You can tell the way he feels just by watching the way he looks at her. The second I saw Mitch on their wedding day, he was all smiles and was so incredibly excited.
Lorraine and Mitch married in their Catholic Church in Presque Isle, they have been a part of for many years.
Tucker had to be part of the day somehow! After all, he really is their baby!
Lorraine and Mitch’s love story started when they were 14 years old. A love that even at their young age, continued to grow and deepen throughout the past 10 years. They attended each other’s proms, formal school dances, and graduations. She attended his basketball and baseball games while he watched every cheerleading competition and dance recital. Mitch has always been extremely supportive of Lorraine throughout their relationship but even more so while she was obtaining her doctoral degree. As a result, of their commitment and love for each other they have truly became each other’s best friend and biggest supporter.
Their Presque Isle wedding was so incredibly gorgeous and I absolutely love the portraits we were able to capture for them!
First of all, look at Lorraine’s bridal portraits! She was such a stunning bride!! The parasol was something we had spoken about for at least a year. As a result, the parasol was such a great addition to her portraits.
Their Presque Isle wedding concluded with their reception at the Northeastland Hotel, which is located in downtown Presque Isle.
Their centerpieces were handmade by Mitch and Lorraine put the finishing touches to them.
To conclude their wedding day, we snuck away from the reception for what I would consider the best sunset I have seen in Presque Isle in years. Growing up in Northern Maine, you witness pretty amazing sunsets due to the area being relatively flat and open. This sunset was seriously epic. I have a decent memory and I don’t remember one looking this amazing! We walked out of the reception and instantly saw the gorgeous clouds. The sunset truly tied together a wonderful day. Lorraine and Mitch had a day so incredibly perfect that no one could ask for more on a wedding day.
