Nicky and Tom’s Newmarket wedding was nothing but fun. This was my second time visiting Newmarket, you might remember Nicky and Tom’s ice fishing engagement session from last year, that was my first visit. Nicky and Tom decided to have their Newmarket wedding at a family home along the river. After seeing their venue in the snow and cold I did not know what to expect for their Newmarket wedding. Well, I can honestly say I now know why they picked this family home to have their wedding, its gorgeous! I was pleasantly surprised with the Newmarket area and we took full advantage of the great places for Nicky and Tom’s photos.
Upon meeting Nicky and Tom, you may not know that they love everything outdoorsy. Their Newmarket wedding was no exception to this. You would definitely describe their wedding as rustic. They had canoes paddles for their guest book, Tom wore cameo suspenders, the groomsmen had walking sticks, and they absolutely didn’t hesitate running through tall grass to make epic photos. Nicky and Tom are both super outgoing and playful. To watch them interact together will make anyone believe in a head-over-heels kind of love.
Nicky and Tom had the cutest first look along the river in downtown Newmarket. You could tell Tom was super excited to see Nicky and even though Nicky didn’t think she would get emotional, she did.
Pepsi may be Tom’s dog but I’d rather call him Tom’s wingman. Nicky first fell in love with Pepsi on the walks her, Tom, and Pepsi would take, after deciding to hang out more, she then fell in love with Tom.
All I said was, “1-2-3 POSE!” and this happened. This group was super fun!
These girls were SO funny. Talk about personality!
Nicky loves to white water raft. She introduced Tom to rafting early in their relationship. When it came to their proposal, Tom proposed to Nicky by using a rafting paddle which he buried in sand. I loved that they made sure the paddle was on display at their wedding.Just as Nicky was about to walk down the aisle, we were surprised by a huge freight train that put the ceremony on hold for a few minutes. It is not uncommon for the train to go by but it was extremely unusual that it wasn’t quick. Everyone shared a good laugh!
Pepsi obviously was a big part of Nicky and Tom’s day. He spent the entire day with the bridal party and placed himself right in the middle of his two humans during the ceremony. He even later joined the reception.
With a quick shot and a kiss, Nicky and Tom were officially married!
Nicky, Tom, and I snuck away from the reception at sunset for more photos of the two of them. Nicky and Tom jumped at the opportunity to hike down the riverbank and out onto the rocks in the river. I definitely commend Nicky for doing this in her dress!
Yes, a bouncy house. Tom made it clear when I first met them that a bouncy house would be at their reception. Not only did the kids at the wedding enjoy it but the wedding party, parents, and of course Nicky and Tom did. Trying to get the whole wedding party in the bouncy house was a struggle and the bouncy house may have collapsed.
Nicky and Tom, I wish you both the absolute best in this journey of life together. There is no doubt in my mind you will continue to complement each other and I cannot wait to see the adventures you take!
