I promised that Rachel and Tony’s Sherman wedding would have a full blog post soon so here it is! Here is the sneak peek if you missed it! Rachel and Tony are two people that I wish I could work with all the time. They are so funny and so gosh darn photogenic! Rachel has been in a couple of weddings that I have shot so honestly shooting her wedding felt like I was shooting for a friend. Her two bridesmaids were two of my past brides and it felt like a little reunion the day of her wedding. Rachel and her girls got ready at her house, family dogs and all! It was a blast. She kicked Tony out of the house at some point in the early afternoon, basically when hair and make up was about to start. Rachel was such a laid back bride. I can’t even put into words how relaxed she was on her wedding day. After everyone was ready we got to do something that not many brides would think about doing. She had her bridesmaids get back into their wedding gowns and have photos with the 3 of them in their wedding gowns together! The girls didn’t disappoint, they slipped right back into their gowns, we tied them up and off to a field of potato blossoms we went. It was magical and amazing. It brought back a lot of awesome memories of each other their weddings. After we had some fun the girls got into their bridesmaids photos and we headed to the church of the ceremony. At the end of their ceremony their pastor teared up, that should tell you enough about how amazing these two are. Rachel and Tony were awesome and picked locations around Sherman to have their photos taken. You might remember their amazing selection from last fall for their engagement session, if you don’t check it out here. Mt. Katahdin was amazing during their engagement session but the summer haze disappointed us during their wedding. The mountain was barely visible and we were all sad about it. Despite not being able to see the mountain, the locations they picked were amazing. Some of them were the same ones from their engagement session and some were new. Near the end of the night, the sunset ended up being amazing. I grabbed Rachel and Tony and we headed to a place where we knew we could get the best view of it. Rachel didn’t even flinch when I said I wanted her on top of the hay bales that were there. Her and Tony both jumped right up and were so excited. We definitely made some magic happen and shared so many laughs. Lucky for me, Marti Rae, Rachel’s Matron of Honor and a past bride went with us. She was a professional at making them laugh and for helping me with Rachel’s veil for some of the photos. Tony had us girls laughing hysterically but the reason why we will keep a secret between the four of us! 😉
Rachel and Tony’s wedding day was nothing short of amazing and I feel so incredibly honored to have spent their big day with them. Congratulations and I cannot wait to see where your next journey together will take you!
