When I first starting talking to Leah about her wedding I knew I was going to love working with her and Mat. Not only is Leah super fast at communicating but her and Mat also have a golden retriever. I was so excited when Leah asked if she could bring their fur baby to their session, the answer was obviously a big YES. Seriously, I was sold on them from the very beginning. Leah and I organized their engagement session in a short amount of time since they were getting ready to move out of state. We got rained out on our original day but the next day was gorgeous and so worth rescheduling to. I met Leah and Mat near their home in Turner on Mat’s grandparents’ farm. I arrived before Leah and Mat did but Mat’s grandparents invited me in and even asked if I wanted dinner. Leah and Mat are lucky to have such a wonderful family! We started their session in the cattle field on the farm… this was a new one for me! We had to watch out for the cow manure and the electric fencing! We didn’t just stick to the farm for photos we ventured down by the
river
in town for a change of scenery. We found a gorgeous clearing along a path and a patch of wild flowers, definitely worth the drive down the road! This was the first time I have done an engagement session in Western Maine and it was gorgeous! I throughly enjoyed my evening with them and I am looking forward to their wedding next summer which will be held right on the farm!
On the drive to the river I spotted this patch of flowers at the end of a road. We stopped on the way back to the farm and I am so glad that we did!
