Tiffany and Bert were married at Camp Roosevelt in Eddington, Maine. You may have seen their sneak peek here. I also had the pleasure of doing their engagement photos this fall in an apple orchard, which you can see here. They had the most gorgeous day and the first day of summer definitely did not disappoint. I had the pleasure of having Joe of Joe Geske Photography assist me for Tiffany and Bert’s wedding. We meet the girls first at a hotel in Bangor while they were busy getting ready. Then Joe went and spend some time with Bert and his boys, who also were getting ready in the same hotel, just a floor below. After speaking with Tiffany and Bert about special things that were going to occur during their wedding day, we decided that a first look with Tiffany’s dad would be essential. Tiffany and her dad both shed tears and so did everyone who watched (well maybe not Joe, but I did and the bridal party too!). After Tiffany and her dad’s first look, Tiffany and Bert exchanged letters they had written to each other. Once everyone was ready and the letter reading was finished we headed to Camp Roosevelt. This was the perfect location for Tiffany and Bert. Their theme for their wedding was rustic and this venue screams rustic! It is surrounded by forests and a lake. Tiffany and Bert had a very intimate ceremony outside in front of the main lodge that overlooked the lake. Camp Roosevelt allowed Tiffany and Bert to have their ceremony and their reception in the same location. After their ceremony Joe and I escaped with the bridal party and headed for the lake, which was gorgeous! Once the reception started the dancing did not stop! It went all night! Thankfully, Tiffany and Bert snuck away with Joe and I for sunset photos in the woods and around the lake. Tiffany and Bert were able to spend some alone time, which I feel is critical for a bride and groom to do during their wedding day.
June 21st is a very special date for Tiffany and having her wedding on this date was extremely important to her. Tiffany and Bert’s wedding day was the 64 year anniversary of her Memere and Pepere’s wedding anniversary. To celebrate this special day I surprised them with sparklers to draw out the date.
It was a true pleasure to capture Tiffany and Bert’s wedding. Growing up with Tiffany was such a pleasure and then watching her and Bert’s relationship develop and grow has been amazing. I wish you both the absolute best and I am so glad that Tiffany found the man who makes her heart and soul happy.
I love this image that Joe got during their letter reading!
